Pastor's Message
Dear Bethlehem Church Family,
Grace to you and peace from God our heavenly Father and from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Luke the Evangelist records:
“But behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, ‘Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.’”
(Luke 24:4b–6a)
Alleluia! Christ is risen!
He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
A glorious celebration of the resurrection of our Lord was held on April 5th. Together we lifted our voices in praise to God for the salvation won for us through the resurrection of Christ. We heard again of God’s great love for us revealed through His Son, Jesus. We were welcomed to His table, where we partook of the eternal food, the true body and blood of our Lord given and shed for us.
On the very day Jesus rose from the dead, He also sent out His disciples to proclaim the good news of the Gospel. He wasted no time in revealing what life would look like after the resurrection.
John records:
“On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.’ And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.”
(John 20:19, 21–22)
Jesus sends us out into the world as well. How do you proclaim His Gospel? Where is your world? Your world is where God has planted you—among your neighbors, friends, colleagues, and family.
We proclaim the Gospel not only with our words, but also through our lives: living according to God’s commands with grace, mercy, and love. And we do not go alone. Our risen Lord gives us His Holy Spirit to guide, strengthen, and sustain us.
Let us follow our risen Savior!
In Christ,
Pastor Joe Glombicki
