Emergency Preparedness Workshop

Floods. Tornadoes. Blizzards. Wildfires. Storms. Blackouts.
It seems like we’re seeing news of these kinds of incidents, and more, coming across our feeds all the time. Emergencies and disasters do happen. Do you know what you can do to help keep yourself and your family safe? How can you plan and prepare in advance?
If you want to learn more about being better prepared for various kinds of incidents, this workshop is for you! Some of the topics we’ll cover include:
- Understanding various types of emergencies and disasters
- Alert and warning systems
- Family communications
- Making plans for your family
- Basic first aid
- Safety during various types of emergencies
- Planning to evacuate or shelter in place
- Emergency supplies and kits (for home, work or car)
- Planning for “financial first aid”
Join us to learn how to help yourself, your family, and your neighbors in time of need.
Classes will be held every Thursday in September 2025 (9/4, 9/11, 9/18, and 9/25) from 6-8 PM. Each date will cover different topics. We recommend you attend all four sessions, but we understand if you can’t and we would still love you to join us when you can!
