Pastor's Message
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Grace to you and peace from God our heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ.
"The Lord says through the prophet Isaiah: Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."
— Isaiah 43:19
As we make our way into the new year, let us be reminded that God is a God of new things. He makes all things new. When Adam and Eve sinned, the whole world was cursed. Nothing on the earth was the same after the fall. All offspring of Adam and Eve are sinners through them, you and me. But God, being the God of new, promised to put a new spirit within us, to remove our hearts of stone and give us a heart of flesh. His New Covenant in the blood of His son, made the way possible for us to be renewed.
And now, as a new creation in Christ, we live our lives out in this near year, patiently waiting for Christ to return and create His new heavens and earth for you and me.
As we wait in anticipation of the return of Christ, may we do as the psalmist writes:
"Oh, sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him."
— Psalm 98:1
May the God of the new year fill your new year with His peace, mercy, and grace!
