Sunday School
Christian education is provided for children, age 3 through grade 6. These classes meet every Sunday morning beginning at 9:15 a.m.
Confirmation Classes
Confirmation is available for children who are entering 7th grade. It teaches them the basic beliefs and doctrines of the Lutheran Church based on Martin Lutheran’s Small Catechism. Upon completion of this course these young people are eligible to become Communicant members of the church.
High School Youth Ministry
At Bethlehem we recognize the challenges that High School age young adults face in our confusing world. Our primary way of helping this age group to navigate the rough waters of the teen years is by offering spiritual guidance and informal Bible discussions on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:15 a.m. One Sunday a month the High School youth use this time to go to a local restaurant for breakfast for the purpose of building stronger relationships with each other.
This photo was taken at one of their fundraisers to help them pay for a trip to the National Youth Gathering that is held every three years. This one was a spaghetti dinner with a silent auction and entertainment by Doc Diamond performing a Neil Diamond tribute .
Adult Bible Studies
At Bethlehem we place a high value on continuing to grow in the Christian Faith through the study of God’s Word. Adult Bible Study is offered on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:30 a.m. and on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome.
Home Huddles
Home Huddles are small informal Bible “discussion” groups that meet at a host home. The host provides a comfortable space for the group to meet as well as drinks and snacks. Each Home Huddle meets once a month. Home Huddles are intentionally kept small (6-12 people) in order to allow for the formation of personal trusting relationships.
Lutheran Faith Class
This course is offered about twice a year (or as needed). It is a study of the basic doctrines (teachings) of Christianity from the Lutheran perspective. The class generally meets once a week for about 6 weeks. Those individuals from a non-Lutheran background are generally asked to attend this course prior to becoming a member at Bethlehem.
